On Thursday, Justin Bieber attended at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie Believe with his mother Pattie Mallette and his grandparents Bruce and Diane Dale, who couldn’t have seemed more proud of their grandchild. But his paternal grandparents, George and Kathy Bieber, didn’t show up at the event. They claim that they have been abandoned by their superstar grandson and his grandfather George says that it sometimes feels like “he doesn’t care.”
“It’s like we now live on different planets,” George told the New York Daily News. “He never calls us, and now I sometimes think he doesn’t care. It does make me sad, as right now our lives are pretty desperate. He continues: I can’t work due to illness, so there is barely any money coming into the house,” he explained and said that Justin never helps them with economic problems. “His grandma has a bad back, too, but works like a dog hauling huge bags of paint powder 40 hours a week.”
George also adds that even though he is hurt by Justin’s ignorance, he is still their grandson and both he and Kathy will always be very proud of him.
